Suresh Balaje is a film producer who produces Indian movies in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. He has also produced a few French films. He is known for movies like Megham, Niyaman, Makkal En Pakkam, Gandharvam, 13 B, Dheepan and several others. He is also known as Suresh Balaji.

Suresh was born in Chennai in Tamil Nadu. He is the son of the late film producer K. Balaji and Anandavally. He is the brother-in-law of actor Mohanlal, through his sister Suchitra Mohanlal. He is married to Usha Suresh. He is the father of the actor Suraj Suresh and Sitara Suresh. Suresh produced the Tamil film Thee directed by R. Krishnamurthy. The crime drama flick hit the silver screens on 26th January 1981 under the banner of Suresh Arts. He produced the Tamil movie Vaazhvey Maayam directed by the same director. The drama film hit the theater halls on 26th January 1982. Suresh produced the Malayalam movie Ulladakkam directed by Kamal and starring Mohanlal. The psychological thriller received three Kerala State Film Awards. The feature film hit the cinema halls in 1991 under the Sithara Combines banner. Suresh produced the Hindi film Phir Milenge directed by Revathi. The drama flick hit the film theatres on 27th August 2004 under the banner of Percept Picture Company.

He then produced the Hindi film Malamaal Weekly directed and written by Priyadarshan. The comedy flick hit the film halls on 10th March 2006 under the banner of Sujatha productions.

Suresh and Indian filmmaker George Pius joined hands to form the Wide Angle production house in 2006. They produced the Hindi Tamil feature film Yavarum Nalam directed and written by Vikram Kumar. The psycho horror flick hit the movie theaters on 6th March 2009. The film was remade in Hindi with a slightly altered cast.

They then produced the Tamil film Billa II: The Beginning directed by Chakri Toleti. The crime flick was a prequel to the 1980 film Billa. The movie hit the cinema halls on 13th July 2012. Suresh and George were the line producers of the French film Dheepan directed and co-written by Jacques Audiard. The crime drama flick premiered at the Cannes film festival on 21st May 2015 where it won the Palme d’Or. The motion picture hit the cinema screens on 26th August 2015. They were also part of the French film Son Epousé directed and co-written by Michel Spinosa. The drama film hit the movie screens on 12th March 2014.
