Tahir Hussain

Tahir Hussain was film producer who works primarily for the Indian Hindi industry. He has been universally acclaimed for his films like Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, caravan, etc. Tahir also was known as Mohammed Tahir Hussain Khan was born on 19th September 1938 in hardoi when it was under British provinces.

Tahir Hussain belonged to the family of rohilla Pashtun of yousufzai and had also been related to our former president Zakir Hussain. Tahir had begun his career in the film industry in 1961 itself. He debuted as an actor in 1961 with the picture jab Pyar Kisi Se Hota Hai.

The film was a super hit and revolved around the story of a rich girl whose father want's her to marry his friend's son whom she dislikes. Next, he worked as a production executive with the cast and crew of the movie teesri manzil which released in 1966.

His second and last film as an actor got released in 1969 titled Pyar Ka Mausam in which he was starred as Sardar Ranjit Kumar. After this picture, Tahir completely shifted his focus on production. Tahir Hussain produced his first film titled caravan in 1971.

The caravan is a musical comedy movie directed by Nasir Hussain which revolved around a girl named Sunita who escapes penniless from her husband as he tries to kill her. On her escape, she meets a traveling gypsy and falls in love. Following this Anamika, madhosh, and zakhmee hit the cinemas are after the other. Anamika was a thriller directed by Raghunath jhalani.

Directed by desh Gautam madhosh was a Bollywood drama followed by another drama titled zakhmee in 1975. After this, other films he produced were were Janam Janam Na sath (1977), Khoon ki pukar (1978), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993) and madhosh (1994). Besides these, he wrote, directed and produced a film titled tum mere ho which released in 1990. Tahir died on 2nd February 2010 due to myocardial infarction in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
