‘Akriti Kakkar’ was born on August 7, 1986. She is a popular Indian singer who had sung many peppy numbers. The most prominent numbers are 'Saturday Saturday' song in the movie ' Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' and 'Iski Uski', in the movie ' 2 States'. In Zee Bangla, she had been a judge for the show, 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa: Li’l Champs'. She released her solo music album via Sony Music India in April 2010. As of now, she had sung 33 songs in Bollywood.

Apart from this, Akriti also sang a song in Marathi and Bengali which were exquisite numbers. She was supposed to make a wild card entry to the dance show namely 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa'. But unfortunately she had met with an accident. So this stopped her from doing rehearsals and she could make it. One of her batchmates is also a Bollywood playback singer namely Harshdeep Kaur. Akriti has two twin sisters namely Sukriti and Prakriti Kakkar. She is a Delhi based girl but then moved to Mumbai, and pursued singing as her career. Mumbai has been her home since 2005. She had learned Hindustani music at the age of 5 wherein her musical voyage began. Her musical Guru is ‘Late Shri Byomkesh Banerjee’.

She was fortunate to be a part of the ' Little Stars' show at her age of 9. She got moulded by the incredile learnings from the judges ‘Kalyanji–Anandji. Akriti's album 'Akriti' which was composed by the Maestro Shankar Mahadevan had bagged the “Best Non Film Popular Album” award in the GIMA awards. The best part of Akriti is that she took an oath to spread the love, inspiration and peace through her aesthetic music.
