Anushka Manchanda is an Indian playback singer, lyricist, actress and a model belonged to the Indian pop girl group, Viva. She was also a former Channel [V] VJ. Anushka was born on February 11, 1984 in Delhi. She studied high school at Amity International School, Noida. She became popular when she became the winner of the talent show, Coke [V] Popstars. And that’s when her band, Viva! started. However, the group was later torn apart due to some differences. She got the chance to work in Channel [V] as a VJ. Anushka then shifted to being a playback singer under the Tamil Film Industry. She sang the 'O Mahire' from the movie, Manmadhan in 2004 along with Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, who later worked with Anushka for several times and create well-known songs like the Thee Pidikka from the Tamil drama film, Arinthum Ariyamalum, Kudakooli from the film, Kalvanin Kadhali and more. She also got the chance to sing for some Hindi films as well such as the title song in the Bollywood comedy film, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited.

Anushka also entered the film industry and joined the Bollywood romance film, in 2010 and played a cameo role. She was also part of the reality show, MTV Pulsar Stunt Mania and did a video for Grey’s Anatomy’s advertisement while singing the song “What would you do?”

Anushka became successful in her career in Bollywood. The Dum Maro Dum song of Anushka, gained so much popularity. She was also good in playing different instruments like piano, guitar, tambourine, flute and maracas. Her song, Naughty Naughty won the Stardust New Musical Sensation for Female Award. Some of her recent songs are Allah Duhai Hai, Dil Na Jaane Kyun, Mann Basiyo Sanwariyo, Rowdy Fellows Horn OK Please and Teri Mahima Aprampar.

She became the winner in the reality show, : Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 2 in 2008. Then from 2010 to 2011, she was a contender in the reality dance show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
