Harbhajan Mann is an August singer, who predominantly sings in Punjabi. Harbhajan was born in Khemuana village in Bathinda District of Punjab. He grew up in Canada and did his schooling there. He sang in many shows in his locality, representing the South Asian Community.

He could not scale up his musical career in Canada, as Punjabi songs were not a hit over there. Hence, Harbhajan shifted to India for the sake of his passion. Ever since he laid his foot in Punjab, he started establishing himself as an independent Musician.

In the year 1992, his proper debut single, Chithiye Nee Chithiye was released, which became an instant hit. He shot to fame in the year 1999, when the famous music labels, MTV, and T-Series came forward to release Mann’s next album. The labels produced and released his Punjabi Pop album titled, Oye Hoye. The album’s fame doubled and extended his fan base across the country. He has also crooned for many Bhangra type of songs.

The popularity he got through his singing career, gave him an opportunity to become an Actor in Punjabi movies. He wanted the next generation kids to learn their mother tongue, Punjabi and he understood that can be achieved only through Cinema. It was not an easy task for the singer to rope in a Producer and a Director for his film. He somehow persuaded the noted Punjabi Director Manmohan Singh to make Mann’s debut flick. He then convinced T-Series to produce the movie. Finally, in the year 2002, his first movie as an Actor titled as, Jee Aayan Nu.

The movie, unlike other Punjabi Films, was released across the World and was produced with a high budget. The flick, which was a rom-com, was a superhit in Punjab. He has acted in the movies, Dil Apna Punjabi, Mitti Wajjan Mardi, Mera Pind, My Home, Hanni and so on. He had recently acted in the movie Gaddar-The Traitor (2015), directed by Amitoj Maan. Currently, he is making an album named Delhi 84 that has lyrics by Sukshinder Shinda. Harbhajan Mann got married to Harmandeep Kaur, in the year 1990 and the couple has three children.
