After this album's success in Taiwan, he came back to Hong Kong to popularize the Cantopop kind of music.

After the success of his two albums, he never looked back, and his collection drove his popularity to a new level. He has worked for UFO Record Company, Warner Music Group, and Music Nation Group. His popularity made him one of the Most Demanding Popstars of Hong Kong. He is the recipient of Silver Award for the most popular Mandarin song, and a Gold Award in the RTHK Top 10 Gold Songs (1991). His over-popularity in singing embraced him to follow the dancing style of Michael Jackson.

His stage dancing program fetched him an entry in Guinness Book of records. He is also a TV and film actor in Hong Kong. He began his career in TV in 1987 and continued till 2004.So far he has acted in 18 TV series. His first debut in TV series was 'Genghis Khan,'( 1987) and then he went to act in other popular TV series too such as 'Song Bird,'(1989) 'Wars of Bribery' (1996), and 'Sunshine Heartbeat'(2004), etc. He made his debut in films in the year 1988 and continues to work in Hong Kong cinema till now. His upcoming movies include 'Theory of Ambitions' and 'Project Gutenberg'.

So far, has acted in nearly 70 films. His hobbies include collecting new cars, and his unique passion proves his bond with his fashion taste. Plus, his unique hairstyle made him a stylish icon across the globe. He is famous for his character of Bull Demon king in the Hong Kong movie 'The Monkey King ' (2014) and the sequel titled 'The Monkey King 2 '(2016). The film was dubbed in Hindi – Monkey King (Ek Super Hero).
