One of the first Bollywood actors from Bihar, Bhushan Tiwari was an actor in Hindi Films in the decades of 1960s to 1990s. He was renowned for playing negative roles on screen and portrayed the character of villain on screen. He is the son of actor Ramayan Tiwari Ramayan Tiwari, a forename that did not just go to >> Read More... who also played characters of villains on screen. He is renowned for his roles in Zanjeer (1973) and Parvarish (1977), e blockbuster movies of that age.

His career goes way back to 1957 when he started off his career with ‘Taalash’. From 1957 to 1968, he had starred in several movies like ‘Miss Bombay, Sim Sim Margina, Challenge, Main Hoon Jadugar, etc. He had also played the role of Duryodhan in Mahabharata in 1965.

The 1970s were the golden age of his career. He played the role of Sajjau in Mela (1971). His other movies included Balidaan, Bankelal, Appradh and Rampur Ka Lakshman. Note-worthy movies of Tiwari of the 70s were Raja Jani where he played the role of Zaalim Singh; Loafer; Banarasi Babu; Zanjeer where he acted as one of Teja’s smugglers; Yaadon Ki Baarat; Kunwara Baap; Rafoo Chakkar; Sabse Bara Rupaiyaa; Hum Kisise Kam Nahin and Parvarish.

In the 80s, Tiwari was part of many hit movies like Badle ki Aag, where he plays one of Mohanlal’s man; Bade Dil Wala; Sweekar Kiya Maine where he perfectly played the role of a drunk man; Haisiyat; RamKali; Wafadar; Sur Sangam; Tahkhana and Loha. He also played the role of Manilal in the TV miniseries, The Far Pavilions (1984).

He shot into fame, and an impulse was added to his career at the end of the 1980s and all of the 1990s.
