Jehangir R. Karkaria is a veteran Indian actor who has been entertaining his spectators for more than two decades through films, TV shows and stage plays. He was born in the municipality of Navsari, Gujarat, where he attended the D.K. Tata High School. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

After graduation, he worked as an entrepreneurial executive for more than 25 years at ION Exchange Pvt. Ltd., where he managed sales, marketing, business development, and product management at the national level for specialty chemicals and equipment.

He had always had a passion for acting, which he thoroughly pursued as he juggled his job alongside for financial security. By this time, Jehangir had become a recurring face in the showbiz and had gathered high lauds for his ease at playing diverse characters. Besides the aforementioned, Jehangir contributed to a few episodes of “Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma” (2008; as the corrupt trustee Ishwar Mahadev Khare), “Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabadwale” (2010), “Adaalat” (2010) and most recently “Dil Lagi” (2016).
