Kishore has a son named Karan Bhanushali who is also an actor. Kishore is the duplicate of the late Bollywood actor, Dev Anand. Kishore usually does comedic roles but he was tired of being seen as a comedian. He said in an interview that he has regrets on being typecast on comedic roles and that nobody understands that he is an actor at first. Kishore who was born with looks that is almost similar to Dev Anand, needs to obtain everything about the late actor. The way he talks, eat, sit, walk and everything. Kishore thinks that it is not an easy task and requires a lot of hard work to act like him. 
He was debuted as a Bollywood film actor in Ramharh Ke Sholay in 1991. When Dev Anand died on December 3, 2011 due to cardiac arrest, Kishore was one of the many people who paid tribute to the late actor. Kishore, although being tired in doing comedic roles, is still hoping that he can do other better roles where he can perform and show the people his talent as an actor.
