He was born on 13th May 1983 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he attended the Holy Cross High School in Nirmal and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

He fantasized about becoming an actor from a young age and his talent in the field was first showcased when he appeared as a child artist alongside the adroit actor, Pankaj Kapoor, in Subhash Agarwal’s drama “Rui Ka Bojh” (1997). He went on to perform in various Marathi and Hindi stage plays at local theatres.

He won the Zee Marathi Award for best actor in the Prayogik Natak (Experimental Play) category for his performance in ‘gharbar’ in 2013. He joined the Footcandles Theatre, where worked for a year before he bagged the lead role as one of the five friends around whom the musical drama “Raada Box” (2011) revolves.

The movie was a huge flop but was Uday’s crucial first step as an independent actor. In 2015, he made his debut on television with a supporting role in Zee Marathi’s romantic drama “ Runji Runji is a female protagonist family-drama of the >> Read More... .” His hilarious portrayal of a comical character in the show received high praise from the Marathi audience following which he was soon cast for his first Marathi film “Shortcut” (2015). Uday made his first appearance in a Hindi soap opera with “Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji” (2017), which aired on Star Plus.
