Deepak Parashar is a well-known Indian model and TV actor who always had flair for acting. He was born in Pune on April 2, 1952 and started his career with modeling. In the 1970’s Deepak enjoyed a very successful modeling career. He remained the face of Vimal Suiting for many years. He is the son of Shobha and Vishvanath Parasher.

He appeared in the Balaji Telefilms’ soap, Kahiin to Hoga as Chetan Garewal, Sujal’s father and the box office comedy-horror film, Chandramukhi by P. Vasu.

During the 1990’s Deepak Parashar was also seen in various Doordarshan TV serials. His role as Mahendra Malhotra in one of his first TV show, Swabhimaan has marked his presence in the television industry. He even acted in Indian fantasy television series called Chandrakanta as Devdutt, which was aired for about 2 years on DD National as one of the most popular drama show. Deepak has been very factual and devoted to all the roles he has been offered. Let it be his character of Chetan Garewal in Kahiin to Hoga in which he plays the role of a father of main lead played by or his donning the "royal robes" of a Mughal Badshah in the costume drama Chandramukhi – Deepak has done justice to all his performances.

He was also seen in an eminent TV show, Big Boss 1 in the year 2006 where he was evicted in the second week. He was also the very first Mr India in 1967 together with and . During the 80’s, Deepak also did some Hindi cinema characters in Sharaabi as Inspector Anwar, Insaaf Ka Tarazu as , Nikaah as Waasim Ahmed and many more.
