Hailing from the town of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Gaurav Khanna is not your typical actor. Acting happened to him by chance, but he doesn’t regret it one bit. Born on the 11th December, 1981, Gaurav started taking TV commercials as a means to some extra pocket money when he was completing his MBA in Mumbai. At the end of his degree, he was placed in an IT company and even worked there for an entire year, before he discovered the glitz of the tele industry calling him.

It is said that Gaurav received an offer for a campaign, when he was working out at a gym one day. Apparently the person thought Gaurav was a model, and convinced him to take the offer. Gaurav went along just for fun, and never looked back. He played two cameos in and Kumkum until 2008 which were mainly responsible in establishing his face in the daily time slots and in gaining him popularity. However he also played many leads in Meri Doli Tere Aangana, Santaan, Ardhangani, , and Love Ne Milla Di Jodi.

Gaurav is the younger of two children; his elder sister is married. He is a fan of dancing and was seen participating in , followed by hosting Nach Le Ve with Saroj Khan. He has been on the lookout for lady love, and has been planning to get married for some time now. When questioned he said that he wants a girl who is, “Well ed-cated, independent and who respects her elders.” He is also a fitness freak and believes that the fruits come from a lifetime of commitment and effort. He loves playing sports just as much as he loves the gym, but is not too food conscious excluding some very unhealthy items like street food, or stuff that has been deep fried. He is a big fan of and admires both his dance style and his toned body.

Gaurav Khanna is a Indian television actor and a successful model. He was born on December 11, 1981 in Kanpur city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The 32 year old model, and actor is famous for his critically acclaimed and popular TV show ‘Kum Kum’. He is also famous for his roles in the television serials such as ‘Love Ne Mila Di Jodi’ and ‘Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kum’. The Indian actor has completed his degree on Master of business administration but soon realized that his interest and passion laid on acting and film field. For this he decided to move from Kanpur, his hometown city to Mumbai, as it had more exposure and connection with the entertainment industry. After he began the journey of his successful career he became more popular and was known with the nick name Mr.Kanpur.

The actor proved his talent to the world and kick started his career through his first small role in a minute long commercial. Other producers and director did not take much time to note his talent and he got chances to act in more commercials. He was later offered roles in television serials and his first one was ‘One night stand’, which was telecast on Star One and played the character named Sunny. This was followed by a couple more serials such as ‘Sidhant’ and ‘Bhabhi’. His most important and critically acclaimed role was as Sharman Wadhwa in the serial ‘KumKum’ and his first role as lead was as Ruhaan Oberoi in the serial ‘’.

After his successful career as a TV serial actor he later appeared in the 9XM’s TV show ‘Jalwa Four 2 Ka 1’ as a contestant. He later made a guest appearance in the TV show ‘Dancing Queen’ and hosted the television show ‘’ both being telecast on 9XM.
