Naved Aslam is a popular Indian stage actor, scriptwriter, and television and film actor. He was born and brought up in Delhi. His father is an Urdu Literature Professor in Jawaharlal Nehru University while his mother is a high school teacher in a government school. His father is the one who introduced him to the theater. For over ten years, he has written, directed and acted in several stage plays in Delhi. He was trained in Indian classical vocal music and took a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from a film school in Delhi. Naved used to be a writer and broadcaster of film reviews at the External Services Division of All India Radio. Later on, he became a freelance camera operator of NewsTrack video news magazine. He came to Mumbai to pursue his dream of becoming a director.
