Nihar Thakkar is a jubilant actor who has always did justice to all the characters played by him. In both his professional as well as his personal life, he has been a well-reasoned guy with a smooth choice of stuff. He is someone who is not moved with what goes around to bag awards but as a person who believes in “Nature gives you what is needed but not what one desires” and an actor who wants to be perfect no matter whatever he does. His career kick-started soon after he appeared in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam in 2006 which was directed by Deepak Gheewala. In 2007, he hit the silver screen as Raghav in ‘ Imtiaz Ali’s “ Jab We Met”. This role churned the actor out of Nihar and after which he never looked what he left behind. In 2010, the veteran actor was seen in “ Rakt Sambandh”, which used to air on NDTV Imagine. This role made him make many fans as it was considered a challenging role. Even the image lurked in his favor and in no time he made many of the female fans turning crazy for him.

Soon after that, Thakkar made numerous guest appearances on the TV screen. He appeared in yet another image turning role in Chabbis Barah which was aired on Life Ok. He was seen as ‘ Aditi Shirwaikar’s husband Rakesh, who was a victim of 26/12 incident in Mumbai. This project really established him as a talented personality in the industry. Praises for his role penetrated through all the nooks and corners of TV Industry. One of the critics labeled this actor as image reformer and about which Nihar responded by saying that it is an honor to be critically acclaimed and hopes that he keeps on doing stuff which doesn’t bind him to any role. When he was asked about this project, he said that it was a very interesting, and realistic show and that it was one of the main factors which made him sign the project. Nihar nowadays is seen in some of the advertisements and most of the time he is keeping to himself.
