The former journalist and television star Paras Tomar was born on 22nd October 1984 in Delhi. He did his schooling from Navy Public School, Delhi, and junior college education from St. Xavier’s college in Mumbai. He went on to pursue his bachelor’s degree in media studies from Jai Hind College.
Paras started his career with the Times of India publication JLT as a freelance journalist at the age of 16. He had a stint as a freelance journalist before coming to the entertainment industry and he has worked for magazines like The Week and The Asian Age. He has also worked as a full time journalist with The Bombay Times. His career in the television industry started at the age of 19, and he hosted the program called ‘E-Night’ on CNN-IBN and later got his own show at the same channel named ‘Minus 30’. After establishing himself in the television industry, he quit CNN-IBN and became a freelance television anchor and did many programs in various channels.
He is also a well-known radio host and has been hosting a morning programme on RJ1200, a Canada based Radio running South East Asian programmes, since 2011. He has also helped to set up an Indian radio station in Bahrain, and also helped the management to hire talent for the station.
