Ravi Gossain is an Indian film and television actor, who has several credits as an actor in the mainstream Hindi cinema and television Industry. He has appeared in several noted films such as ‘Maachis’ (1996), ‘Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa’ (1998), ‘Pyar Koi Khel Nahi’ (1999), ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala ’ (2007) & ‘ Sunday’ (2008) to name a few.

He has essayed several supporting roles in the movies. In ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala ’, he was seen playing the role of ‘Aslam Chikna’, while in the noted movie called ‘Maachis’, he was seen essaying the role of ‘Kuldip’, who is a supporting character in the movie, which was based on the terrorism affected areas of Punjab during mid 80’s.

He is from the capital city of India and came to Mumbai to pursue his long cherished dream of acting. He took part in some reputed theater groups with some noted theater personalities such as Satyadev Dubey, Naseeruddin Shah and Mahendra Joshi to Makarand Deshpande and Rajat Kapoor. He learnt a lot during this time and got a wonderful opportunity to ameliorate his acting skills.

In his entire career, he has worked with some legends of Hindi cinema such as Amol Palekar, Kalpana Lajmi & Om Puri, to name a few. He was seen playing some powerful roles in the television series such as ‘ Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon’ (2012) & ‘Chandra Gupta Maurya’ (2011). In ‘Madhubala’, he was seen as a cruel inspector. His character had gray shades, which also had a slight comic touch in it.

He was very well received in his television avatar and subsequently seen playing multiple characters in the famous serials such as ‘Crime Patrol’, ‘R K Laxman Ki Duniya’, ‘ Ek Boond Ishq’, ‘ Amanat’, ‘Chalti Da Naam Gaddi’, ‘ Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein’, ‘ Sarhadein’ & ‘ Encounter’, to name a few. Most recently, he worked with veteran Hindi film actress Madhuri Dixit in a movie called ‘ Dedh Ishqiya’. His career seems to be going great, it seems very similar to what he aspired before coming to the world of acting and entertainment.
