He has worked for an advertising agency, for an IT company and for Radio City in Bangalore. With experience in such fields, he made an addition to the list. He shifted to Mumbai to try for acting. He made his television debut in “ Dil Kya Chahta Hai Dil Kya Chahta Hai is a light-mood narrative show >> Read More... ” as Nitin Pasricha. It was broadcasted on the channel STAR One in 2005. It is a story about four guys who are best friends.

“Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki” was his next attempt in which he played the role of Krishna Agarwal. The story is about Om and Parvati, the fictional couple. “ Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi - This Indian show >> Read More... ” also adds to his list in which he plays the role of Tusshar.

In 2006, he was offered the role of Navin Singh Ahluwalia in the show “Left Right Left” on the channel SAB TV. The story is about six baffled cadets in an Indian Army academy and how they face the difficulties. He was also given the role of Mannu in the serial “ Four Click to look into! >> Read More... ” in 2007. Again, “Four” is a story of four friends who are determined to fulfill their dreams.

Another Version Of This Bio

Mega serials like “ Hum Log Hum Log was the first soap opera to be telecasted >> Read More... ” and “ Buniyaad Buniyaad is an Indian drama series which was broad >> Read More... ” are considered to be the forerunners for the introduction of TV “soap” in the Indian context. However, it was not until the advent of satellite television did the real “soaps” dealing with the now oft-repeated Saas Bahu themes, took over the maximum of television space. In that sense, Samir Sharma can be described as one of the “pioneers” of the initial days of the Saas-Bahu theme, appearing as he did in two of the most famous and longest-running TV serials, “Kahani Ghar Ghar Ke” and “Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi”, both of which used to run on Star Plus, hogging a lot of TRP.

The starting of Samir’s career was quite an interesting one, as he moved over to Bangalore once he had finished his studies from his native Delhi, only to take up work for an ad agency, but then shifting into a mainstream career with an IT company there. But perhaps his penchant for showing his mettle in the entertainment and glamour industry was always there, which may have made him try his hand as a radio jockey with Radio City, while in Bangalore. His debut into TV serials happened with the channel Star One, where he played the role of Nitin in “Dil Kya Chahta Hai”.

Having acted in various roles on almost all the popular channels, he had the opportunity to show his versatility in the role of an army captain in “Left Right Left”, that of a hockey coach in “ Veeranwali Veeranwali is a sitcom genre that people will easi >> Read More... ” and also as the typical handsome bachelor in the role he portrayed in “Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki”. This, incidentally, has been one of his other longest-running shows. The host of successful TV serials had already given Samir a prominence, and it could not have been too late before he landed himself into movies.

Sameer Sharma had also played in the films Hasee Toh Phasee and “ Ittefaq Click to look into! >> Read More... .”

Sameer Sharma had been living in an apartment in Malad, Mumbai. He was found dead, hanging on the kitchen ceiling at his home. He is suspected to have committed suicide during the late hours on 5th August 2020. The security guard, who noticed this on 6th August, alerted the apartment residents and then the cops. Sameer is just 44. Sameer’s sudden death shocked everyone in the film industry.  The investigations are going on, but the police officers declared that they didn’t get any suicide note.
