Shashank Vyas is a popular Bollywood film and serial actor. He was born on November 30, 1986 at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He was debuted in the renowned drama series, Balika Vadhu on Colors TV. He played the role of Jagdish/Jagya and because of his good looks and charm he became an overnight sensation at that time.

Manvasanai serial is about the effects of child marriage to the hopes, dreams and life. The serial was shot in the rural parts of Rajasthan and shows the prevailing social ills including the practice of child marriage.
In spite of being one of the favorite small screen actors, Shashank Vyas, is the boy-next-door in real life who is still living a very simple life in Mumbai.
In an interview to a popular magazine, he said that he was studying MBA in Ujjain but destiny had a different plan. Suddenly he decided to give acting a shot and came to Mumbai in January 2009, then he joined in Anupam Kher’s acting institute to learn the art. He completed the acting course and struggled a lot to get a good role. In two years, he gave 80 acting auditions. During one of the auditions he was given the opportunity to play the lead part in Balika Vadhu. It was after several screen shots, so many rehearsals and acting sessions until he was given a confirmation to act in the lead role. From then on, he got many offers. After witnessing the popularity of Balika Vadhu, the serial was dubbed in Tamil in the name Manvasanai, which made Shashank Vyas popular among Tamil the serial audiences. 
Shashank says that acting gives him immense pleasure and he loves it very much. Everything has come along well for him in this profession and he is grateful to it. Even though his mother was little hesitant at the beginning, his father was supportive and let him to pursue his dream. It is a dream came true for him. Now he feels happy to see the kids running towards him with a broad smile on their faces when they recognize him. In return, he offers them chocolates. He says that he feels motivated when he gets such appreciation, which is the real award for any actor. After his Manvasanai entry in Tamil television, he got many fans in Tamil Nadu.
