Suneel Sinha is now a very popular name in the Indian TV Serials. He started his career in 1981 in theatres and acted in about 70 plays. He then started doing TV serials since 1997. He has done more than 80 television serials till date. He started off his career with TV Series like ‘ Shaktimaan’ and ‘ Junior G’ both of which are based on Indian super heroes. He also appeared in the TV Series ‘ Tara’ as ‘ Karan’ which was telecasted from 1993 to 1995. His other recent TV serials include ‘ Ek Ghar Banaunga’ which was telecasted on Star Plus and ‘ Beintehaa’ where he is playing a very important character called ‘Mir Khan’. He is now acting in the series ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap’ as ‘Changezi’ telecasted on Sony TV. In an interview Sunil said that it takes him 3 hours to do the makeup of ‘Changezi’and the experience is painful. Apart from TV serials, he has acted in a number of Hindi movies also. He will always be remembered for his performance in the famous movies ‘Maachis’ (1996) produced by Gulzar and ‘Rudaali’ (1993) which is based on a short story by Bengali writer Mahasweta Devi . His other movies include: ‘Aamras: The Sweet Taste of Friendship’ where he acted as School Principal, ‘ Rangrezz’ (2013) directed by Priyadarshan, ‘Shaheed-E-Azam’ directed by Sukumar Nair, and ‘Red Alert - The War Within’ which was based on a true story. Suneel prefers acting in movies rather than in TV serials as there is more scope to perform in movies. However, when he gets a role in TV Serial which will last for a long time, he eagerly accepts the role. Besides acting, Suneel has also been the Assistant Director of many hindi movies. He has been an Assistant Director in the movie Naseebwala (1992) and Humshakal (1992). He has also worked as a Production Assistant in the movie Namumkin in 1988. Be it movies or drama serials, Suneel Sinha has captured the hurts of audiences through his brilliant acting ability.
