Bhavna Khatri was born on March 24, 1987. She hails from Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand and her father is an army officer. She studied in various schools due to her father's frequent transfers and finally did her graduation in Psychology from Delhi.

She was interested in acting from her school days and took part regularly in stage plays and dramas from her childhood. After completion of her degree, she was selected for the role of Tambreen, the younger sister of female lead, Afreen in popular serial of Sony TV, Khwahish in 2010. her performance was highly appreciated and she bagged another role Kulraj in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil which was telecast on star Plus. In this serial Kulraj was a very happy go lucky person but when it came to her family which consisted of her husband and child, she was extremely protective. This role again won her accolades of viewers as well as critics. played the role of her husband in this serial and the duo was much praised for their chemistry. After Kis Desh mein Hai Mera Dil, she worked in Bh se Bhade as Menka on Zee TV, in Jamunia as Jamunia on Imagine TV and in Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna as Nirupama also on Imagine TV.

Now she is playing the role Anna in Sab TV serial 'Badi Door se Aye hain' against . It is an alien comedy serial which shows an alien family who have lost their son in an experiment gone wrong and have come to find their child. , , Tanaaz Currim and Bakhtyar Irani are other actors in the serial.
