Disha Parmar has started her career by modeling for several commercial ads and print ads. She has the privilege to visit many countries for her modeling before starting acting as Pankhuri in Pyaar Ka Dard hai. She gave a break to her studies as, during her studies, she has received the super offer by Rajshree productions for the show. It was her debut role in this serial. She had no plans to leave her studies in between and work for Pyaar ka Dard hai. She just gave an audition and was selected for the lead role in the serial.
