Another version of this Bio...

While most people would lose their ambitions to age, that was certainly not the case with Hira Mehta. Born in December 1954, Mumbai, Hira, is now a retired professional from ICICI bank with 38 years of service. Though many would find it natural to rest after retiring from a corporate job, Hira chased after her passion, which always lied in the entertainment industry, especially Bollywood. At the age of 48, she enrolled herself in the National Institute of Event Management (NIEM) and also owned a certificate in Voice-over & Dubbing from Sugar Mediaz, Mumbai, which she acquired alongside her working years at the bank. Today, Hira is a freelancer on various projects that include her passion for writing, blogging, hosting events, film making, acting, proofreading, and voicing her opinions.

Her career was set in motion after four years of hard work and struggle when she won a contest organized by Lit-O-Fest in the short stories section for her book “Twisted tales and more.” Some of her other noteworthy creations consist of her book “Young and Sixty” and her first film, “Selfless Soldier.” She is best known for her acting in the 2016 TV series “I don’t watch TV.” Hira has not only set an example for the youth and individuals much like herself but also continues to support them in several ways. She acts as a soft skills trainer for youth and women, interviews people from all walks of life, hosts free talent events for senior citizens, and provides motivational speeches for living life as a senior.

As an Honorable Secretary and Founder Member of “Arunima" women's forum, she interacts, actively addresses, and creates awareness on various issues concerning women. Hira’s life is thus a living proof that age is just a number, and it is never too late to start, as she firmly summaries that "Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter".
