Madhuri Bhandiwdekar is an actress of Indian television and she has been in the industry for quite some time. She played the role of a loving mother in the 2010 serial Behnein which was telecast on Star Plus. The serial was produced by J D Majethia for Hats Off Productions and was directed by Samir Kulkarni and Ankush Mohta. Her performance in the serial was highly appreciated by the audiences.

She again appeared in 2012 serial 'Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha' on Colors channel in the role of a mother-in-law of the female protagonist. She played the role of Saroj Vedkant Vyas as wife of veteran actor Anjan Srivastava. In this serial she begins as a mother-in-law who is dead against re-marriage of her widowed daughter-in-law. After the death of her son, Amar Vyas (role played by ), his wife Megha (played by Akanksha Singh), the female protagonist falls in love with a reporter who is investigating the murder of her husband and wants to marry him. Her mother-in-law comes in between and would not let a widow marriage happen in her family. Slowly and steadily, the husbands convinces her of the benefits of this sort of marriages in the society and the happiness the marriage may bring to Megha. With the progress of the serial the mother-in-law comes out to be a great advocate of widow re-marriage and supports her daughter-in-law very strongly to marry the man of her dreams. Madhuri in an interview said that she identified with the subject and she was also widowed at a very young age in her life, which gave an extra impetus to her performance in the serial.
