She acted in the serial “ Kittie Party The serial is based on the lives of eight women wh >> Read More... ” that aired on Zee TV almost 12 years back. The story revolves around eight women who get together to discuss their social and personal issues. The other major role that she played on TV is in the serial “Tipu Sultan”. 

Maya’s daughter is an upcoming actress/model and she is supporting her daughter completely in facing challenges. When asked the reason for not doing any films now, she gives out an honest reply that her movies didn’t do so well in the blockbuster. She also said that the hectic schedule of TV shows is not matching her life style, as she likes to spend more time with her family. Maya is a person who likes to try their hand in various things. She has also done a documentary film called “The pride of India”.  Many actors aspire to direct or produce their own shows after reaching a certain level, but Maya says that she is happy as an actress and is not interested in the latter.
