Pratyusha Banerjee

Pratyusha Banerjee was a gorgeous Indian actress. She was born on August 10, 1991 at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. She was grown up in a traditional Bengali family. She was also a trained classical dancer and a good singer. Pratyusha haddone her first stage show entitled, Kalidas when she was 17-years old. She also acted in the play, Aashad Ka Ek Dinn. She had also done small modeling jobs in Kolkata before she bagged a role in Balika Vadhu. She stated that she never really thought that she’d become an actress, until she was given a chance to essay the role of older Anandi after a five year leap in BalikaVadhu. She wanted to become a model at first but her height became an issue.

She gained her fame and popularity for her appearance as Anandi Jagdish Singh and Anandi Shivraj Shekhar in the drama series, Balika Vadhu – Kachchi Umar Ke Pakke Rishte on Colors TV. When the actress quit the show, many viewers were extremely disappointed and there were even some fans that signed a petition just to bring Pratyusha back to the show. Pratyusha received the Fan Favorite Award from the Indian Film Festival in 2011. She was also the winner of the Fresh Face Hunt Competition in the same year. In 2012, the actress won the Big Young Entertainer Award for Superhit TV Female Star, and she also won the Most Lokpriya Face at the Golden Petal Awards in 2012.

She had a relationship with actor and business person, Makrand Malhorta but later, she filed a complaint against the actor for threatening and abusing her on the phone. Their two-year relationship had ended in 2013.
