The Maharani Jaiwanta Bai is well known the face of Indian Television today. Oops! We are talking about Rajshree Thakur here, who has played the role of Pratap’s mother with utmost perfection that people have forgotten her real name.

She has made the role her own and people have been mesmerized by her acting talent. Born in Mumbai in 1981 she started her career as a Marathi News reader in All India Radio. From there opportunities kept pouring and soon she featured in many electronic and print ads and became a recognizable face.

She also acted in French-Anglo Production movie named Have any Day. But the role which was watershed in her career was of ‘ Saloni Bio coming soon... >> Read More... ’ in ‘Saat Phere’.  The role of ‘Saloni’ established her as a serious actress and helped her in winning the fresh face of the year award at the Sixth Indian Telly Awards in 2007.

The serial depicted the story of ‘Saloni’ who has to suffer a lot because of her dark complexion. Recently there is news about quitting the Maharana Pratap Serial, as the grueling schedule is taking its toll and her health is being affected.

The serial sets are located at Vapi, Gujarat, and she has to spend more than ten days of a month over there. The news is not confirmed yet though the makers have started looking for her replacement. We wish her all the best to this dusky damsel for her upcoming projects.
