Ruma Sengupta is an Indian actress, known for her performance as Daiji in the Balaji Telefilms’ thriller drama, Kaahin Kissii Roz, which was aired on STAR Plus in 2004. She also donned few films including Rajat Kapoor’s Mixed Doubles in 2006 and Rahul Aggarwal’s Hindi comedy film, Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke in 2010. She also played the role of Beeji, the grandmother of Pooja Kumar’s character in the American TV miniseries, Bollywood Hero in 2009.
Besides acting, Ruma is also a Costume Designer for Bengali films like Nirmok, Krishnakanter Will (2007), Laboratory (2010), and Accident (2012). She earned the Silver Lotus Best Costume Design Award for her work in Krishnakanter Will. This 2017, Ruma has also worked as a Costume Designer for Nitish Roy’s Bengali sci-fi thriller film, Jole Jongole.
