Veena Kapoor

Veena Kapoor was a Punjabi, Mumbai-based, versed television actor. She was born in 1948 to a family of Kapoor's in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She was married and was a mother of two sons. She used to live in Kalpataru Solitaire, Juhu, Mumbai. Veena Kapoor was interested in acting from the beginning, after graduation she started her journey on television in the early 2000s with some salient roles in TV soaps, such as Ajooni, Meri Bhabhi(2002-2008), etc. She is best known for her role in Meri Bhabhi, which aired on Star Plus. She contributed to the industry for more than 40+ years and ingrained her identity in the industry. She worked with Nilu Kohli in the serial Meri Bhabi, and they became good companies from then.

She has also played remarkable roles in a few movies such as “Bhandhan Pheron Ke”(1985), “Dal: The Gang”(2001), a Punjabi film “Mitter Pyare Nu Haal Mureedan Da Kehna”(2004), “Pyar Karke Dheko(1987)” etc. She has also been a part of the television show Britz, where she appeared in two episodes. Veena Kapoor's last work was Ajooni, a drama which was telecasted on Star Plus, where she played the role of Mrs.Bhagga, the grandmother of the protagonist of the story, Rajveer Singh Bagga.
