Nikita Kanwar is an Indian screenplay writer who works in the Hindi television industry. She is best known as the screenplay writer of Sony TV's flagship investigation series C.I.D. Nikita completed her undergraduate studies at Miranda House, University of Delhi, and started working as a story and screenplay writer for Mumbai-based Fireworks Productions in 2006. She resides in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Nikita gained popularity for being the screenplay and story writer of the Sony Television show CID. She has written over 250 episodes for CID, spanning from 2010 to 2018. Nikita also wrote an episode of the 2019 ZEE5 thriller web series Abhay. Her latest stint as a writer is the 2019 Life OK horror series
