Raj Chowdhury

Raj Chowdhury was born on 8th of July in the year 1983. He is an inventor, American entrepreneur, writer, and a venture capitalist. He is popular for the book named “The Dark Secret of the Silicon Valley” which was authored by him. It was a book about the story of a person who is an Immigrant. He becomes the partner of the firm (venture capital firm) situated in San Francisco. Several web-based companies and High Tech were co-founded by him. Raj worked in Microsystem Technology Lab (MIT) as a research associate. He is well educated, and have a degree of MBA, MS, and many others.

He is currently a part of NPO (Non-Profit Organization) named “Asha Silicon Valley” which aims at providing education to children of emerging countries. Raj Chowdhury was born in Kolkata which is a city in West Bengal. His father’s name is Joy Chowdhury who is the owner of a construction company. Her mother name is Sukla Chowdhury who is a former social worker. He is the only child of his parents.

Raj Chowdhury has completed his graduation from Tufts University’s School of Engineering. At Tufts University, Raj learned many things about Robots and their complexity. During the time, he was doing his graduation, in the field of MEMS, photonics and electronic devices, etc., he worked in MTL (Microsystems Technology Lab). At AMPL (Advanced Materials Processing Lab) he has worked as a researcher.

After that, to study about international affairs, Raj went to the oldest school in the United States. At “Leavey School of Business” which is at Santa Clara University, Raj completed the degree of MBA. In the year 2005, Raj got shifted to San Jose, California from Boston. He has done the job of in the Silicon Valley which was his first job there. Raj Chowdhury has also worked in ICICI Bank as an Innovation Head of the Bank in Mumbai, India. There he headed the technical innovation team.

Raj is also an investor in Fintech Companies. Chowdhury is a co-founder of Unification Energy Company. He is also a co-founder of “Shop-a-Block” which is an e-commerce venture and became profitable within nine months of its launch. It was co-founded by Raj in the year 2010. Raj Chowdhury is also a social worker who is currently a member of “Asha Silicon Valley” which is an NPO aims at providing education to children. At Gohaldanga village situated in West Bengal, India, he became a steward at the after school program. He aims at promoting ethics, education, economy, and health care among those communities of Gohaldanga who are socially backward along with 20 more villages in its neighborhood.
