Before graduating from Fergusson College in Mass Communication, Deshpande studied at Garware High School, Pune. She is currently married to Hrishikesh Deshpande and has a daughter named Radha Deshpande.
Deshpande made her first significant contribution on the big screen when she played a cameo in Sandeep Sawant’s Marathi Film Shwaas, which was nominated at the Oscar Awards for the best movie in 2004.
