Yogesh Vikrant

Yogesh Vikrant Singh was born in Yuvrajpur village, Gazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Ever since his childhood, he had a passion for poetry and writing. Yogesh started writing poems in high school. Later he moved to Allahabad for his graduation. In college, he both wrote and acted in plays. Soon after, with support from his mentor Kailash Gautam (a poet himself), he decided to leave for Mumbai to find work as a writer in the Indian film industry.

With no contacts in the film industry, he got hold of a film directory and started cold-calling writers for work. Though he didn't get on-screen credit for his work, Yogesh says that his career as a ghostwriter taught him a lot about commercial writing and allowed him to build connections in the film industry.
