B. Vithalacharya also was known as B. Vittalacharya was born on 18th of January in the year 1920. He was an Indian film producer and director who mainly worked in Kannada and Telugu Cinema. He was born in Udipi, Karnataka in India. He was also known with the name of Maayaajala Mannan, and Jaanapada Brahma.

He came into the industry in the year 1944. He was married to Mrs. Jayalakshmi Acharya. Along with his friend named “Sri D. Shankar Singh,” he established a One Touring Cinema in a district named Hassan.

He used to learn the filmmaking techniques in a practical way by watching each and every film they screened. In the year 1944, he got married to “Mrs. Jayalakshmi Acharya” who is the daughter of Sri U. Ramadasa. She is the third daughter of Sri U. Ramadasa. Apart from his productions, he has also worked for many other producers. Vittalacharya has made around 19 movies for an actor named “N.T. Rama Rao.” He was the leading hero of that time in Andhra Pradesh.

All the movies of Vittalacharya were successful and was a blockbuster. Although it didn’t give him many Awards. He was popular for using excellent visual effects in his movies. His fans called him with a name “Maayaajala Mannan” and “Jaanapada Brahma.” In the year 1954, he directed and produced a film named “ Kanyadhanam Story soon >> Read More... ” which was a revolutionary film of that time. Later on, he made two more Kannada movies. After that, he concentrated on directing and producing only Tamil and Telugu movies. He was a seventh child of his parents.

From a very young age, he was interested in Bayalata, Yakshagana, and Dramas. He went to Arasikere and did many odd jobs. Later on, he bought and ran an Udipi restaurant successfully. At the age on nine, he left his house to try his fortune. Along with some of his friends, he participated in Quit India Movement which started against The Britishers before Independence. During that time, he had to go to jail. After coming out of jail, he gave his business of restaurant to his younger brother. His father was a well-known doctor of Ayurveda, and he used to provide free services to his patients. He died on 28th of May in the year 1999 at the age of 79.
