Hari Santhosh better known as Santhu is a lyricist, director, and producer known for his contribution to the Kannada Film Industry. Santhu was born in the town of Sringeri in Karanataka. His father was an art director, hence filmmaking and production were something that came naturally to him. He shifted to Bangalore for his schooling at Sri Siddaganga School. Hari Santosh, a.k.a. Santhu, is a renowned Indian director of the Sandalwood film industry. He made his directorial debut with the Kannada romantic action-drama “Alemari” (2012), starring Yogesh. The movie, due to being based on the same old theme of a love story interrupted by a gangster, grossed fairly at the box office.

However, it went down in the critics’ good books in terms of its direction and music. It built a solid foundation for Santhu’s future in the showbiz. In his second venture, Santhu tried his hand at horror blended with comedy to create “Darling” (2015).

The film was critically acclaimed and is being remade into Tamil and Telugu versions. Santhu also directed “Victory 2” (2018), the sequel to Nanda Kishore’s hilarious comedy “Victory” (2013). It retained the entire lead cast from the first installment of the series but did not resound as well as its prequel.

Santhu’s other contributions include “Dove” (2015), “Humble Politician Nograj” (2018), and “Londonalli Lambodhara” (2019). He is currently filming for his upcoming project “Bichchugatti,” a historical war film, set to hit the theatres in the winter of 2019. After that Santhu will most likely make his debut in Tollywood in his second unnamed project with Padmanabhan.
