Sharmila Shankar

Sharmila Shankar was a freelance writer and editor of films. She completed her course in prestigious Film and TV Institute of India from FEMIS, Paris. After obtaining a due course in film institute, she became a freelance editor and writer too. Later on, she grabbed her opportunities in directing some corporate promos and TV serials. She has added many feathers in her caps as a video editor in Odyssey video communication, Bangalore. Also, she was even associate producer in Salon Multimedia, Hong Kong and was the producer of ‘ Pardes Pardes is a Pakistani drama serial that was teleca >> Read More... ’ which was a community-based TV show in San Francisco, California.

Later on, she worked as GM for Tarantella Pictures. Sharmila even executed a Malay feature film ‘ Divya Bio coming soon... >> Read More... ’ and ‘Kiss Kis Ko’, a Hindi film shot in San Francisco, California. In early 2010, she founded WilderIndia, an independent media company in Bangalore. From then, WilderIndia has  obtained the rights to ‘ Roshni Roshni is a show on women empowerment broadcast on >> Read More... ,’ a family drama  film that is now in pre-production. WilderIndia is also in the process of development of a movie’ The Mahout’; an elephant feature film shot in Kerala.

This film has given a twist to environmental issues in the forest region of Kerala. It is made for children and pre-teens. The film is now taking up marketing proposition for the movie to release.
