Santhosh is an Indian movie actor who works mainly in Malayalam cinema. He appeared in more than 100 films as a villain/hero/second hero and as a comedian as well. Santhosh hails from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
He is the only child of retired headmaster CN Kesavan Nair and P Rajalakshmi, who is also a retired teacher. Santhosh has two sisters, and he grew up along with his sisters in Pettah, Thiruvananthapuram. He was raised by his maternal grandparents Adv KS Chellappan Pillai and B Parukutty since his parents left to Ethiopia on deputation.
He completed his schooling at St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram. Both the sisters turned out to be gynecologists, while Santhosh wanted to make a career as an actor.
He did his graduation and post-graduation in Mathematics from Mahatma Gandhi College, Thiruvananthapuram. He actively did politics during his college days.
Santhosh started his acting career through the Malayalam movie "Ith njangalude Katha" in 1982. He married to Subhasree V, a high-school teacher by profession. The couple has a daughter, Rajasree S Nayar.
