Chandrika has been marking her presence in the Kannada film industry from her childhood. The glamorous lady at the age of 37 years is still rocking in the industry with her perfect looks and figures. Chandrika received her first break in the movies from the south performing as a child artist in the film ‘Masanada Hoovu’ along with Ambarish. The director of her debut film was Puttana Kanagal. After that, she has carried on being a part of the cast in various films playing her part as a child. However, her initial venture in a lead role was in 1989 in the movie Thayigobba Tharle Maga being cast opposite Kashinath. With the assistance from Srinivasamurthy, she had received her first break and since then her career saw an upward journey. Thayigobba Tharle Maga was being accepted as a hit from the audience which led her to perform in films like Narasimha, two series of Radhakrishna Golmaal, Swarna Samsara, Amara Prema, Hosa Raga and many other films.
Chandrika’s performances grasped the attention of famed directors like Bhagawan, Saiprakash and Bhargava. Her career saw a halt in the 90s when she completely got detached from the limelight. She tied her knot and remained separate from the world of cinema for around ten years. In 2011, she was seen again being seated as a judge in a television reality show. Her return to the tinsel world found a new talent in her as a producer. She produced her first film ‘Nagshakti’ directed by her mentor Saiprakash. Although she performed in a minimal role, Chandrika has been very aware of not trying her hand in the recent films. As a notable performer, she had faced the stardom right as a child artist to performing in a lead. Besides her production venture also revealed to the world her multi faceted talents.
