Milana Nagaraj is a South Indian actress born in 1989. Her birthplace is Hassan, a district in Karnataka. She took her school education and college education in Hassan itself. She’s a bachelor in Computer Science. She did her engineering from VKIT College, Bangalore. From her childhood, she was a good swimmer. In an interview with Times of India, she said that shewas a state-level backstroke swimmer and has won several medals. Her parents put her in the pool when she was just about four to five years old. Since then, swimming had become her life. But in Class 12, everything changed. Just months before her board exams, Milana met with an accident. An SUV rammed into her two-wheeler and knocked her off it. The bone in her leg was very badly broken. She needed a rod and screws to fix the bone.
Due to this disaster, Milana was unable to swim. Then she decided to focus on academics instead. She attended her exams with the help of a walker. Surprisingly, she did well in her exams and got selected for engineering. With such a degree in her hand, she could’ve got a job easily. But working in a software company from 9 to 5 was not what she wanted. She was still trying to figure out what to do next. Then, some of her friends suggested her, to participate in Miss Karnataka contest. She didi have a good athlete body. Thanks to her earlier swimming days. So she thought to give it a try and participated in the contest. Tough she didn’t win the competition; she did win the “Miss Best Personality” title. This was the point when she was introduced to the fame world. From then onwards, she started getting offers for Kannada Films.
Thus happened “Nam Duniya Nam Style”, her first film. Though her first film didn’t do well, she got the work with some of the experienced superstars like Darshan and Karthika, in Brindavana, her second film. She worked opposite Darshan Thoogudeepa in Brindavana. Even though she’s in the sparkling film line, she does feel sad about not becoming a swimmer.
