She also made her debut in a Tamil movie namely Kokki, in the same year, but it was not commercially successful. Her debut movie in Kannada is Mungaru Male, and it was a blockbuster hit movie. She then got into acting in Kannada movies, and her performance was highly commendable.
Pooja Gandhi entered politics by joining hands with the JD(S) party, but then quit the party after six months. Currently, Pooja Gandhi got into the KJP party, and most likely, she might contest in the election for her party. Talking about her personal life, she was born on 7 October, 1983, at Meerut, to Punjabi parents, Pawan Gandhi, who is a businessman, and Jyothi Gandhi. Popularly known as Sanjana Gandhi, she pursued her education in Sophia Convent and Dewan Public school, Meerut. Radhika Gandhi and Suhani Gandhi are her two younger sisters. The former one also being a Kannada cinema actress, and the latter one, a tennis player.
She got hooked up in November 2012, but had an unfortunate end to it.
Acting in the soap, ‘Zameen Se Aasmaantak’, was her first breakthrough. Then she tried her hand at many other ventures. She was the debutant in the Bengali film, ‘Tomake Salam’, in the year 2003. She also did a South Indian film, ‘Kokki’, which had no significant impact at the box office.
Then she made a bang entry into the Kannada film industry. She was famously called the Mungaru Male Girl, after the super success of her film, Mungaru Male. She was called the ‘Dandupalya’ Queen, as it was her film’s title based on gangsters. She also joined the KJP, but she finally contested the 2013 Karnataka Legislative Assembly from Raichur.
