RJ Punitha

Punitha J Acharya, better known as RJ Punitha is a former radio jockey of Fever 104 FM Bengaluru. She is a professional dancer. Punitha was born on November 16 in Manipal. She completed her schooling at Manipal Junior College and Manipal Pre-University College in Manipal. She studied psychology, journalism and women studies at NMKRV College for Women, Bangalore. In 2010, she got a Masters degree of Science in Communication at Christ University, Bangalore.

She is a professional Bharatnatyam, Yakshagana, Kathak, Kuchipudi, contemporary dancer. She has performed at many well-known festivals in India and abroad. She has performed in the U.K., Switzerland, the U.S. and the U.A.E. She took professional dance training since five years of age. Dancing is her true passion. She got married to Sriram Sullia on February 15, 2013. Sriram Sullia is also an RJ at Fever 104 FM Bangalore. She currently stays with her husband in Bangalore and expecting a baby.

She was in Abhinav Dance Academy, Bangalore from 2003 to 2006. In 2007, she did an internship with 92.7 BIG FM and in 2008, with Radio City. In December 2008, she became the Music Manager at 94.3 Radio One. Her work included setting up playlists for the radio station. Deciding the music that has to be played according to the energy was her job description. Punitha also hosted a show on the same channel (between 5 pm to 9 pm). Simultaneously, she became a news presenter at DD News for state scan (November 2010 to May 2011). She left 94.3 Radio One in March 2012 and joined Fever 104 FM Bangalore as a radio jockey. She worked there from 12 March 2012, to 31 December 2014.

Punitha also did a television serial from August 2015 to November 2015. As she is very passionate about dancing, she became a Specialist in Performing Arts at Ekya. Ekya is a school situated in Bangalore. Along with dancing and RJing, Punitha also likes singing and acting. She loves to travel and learn about different cultures from around the world. She loves talking to people and likes going to different places. She is also pursuing martial arts, swimming, painting, and DJing. Punitha is a girl who likes to live on the edge and try out different things. A Scorpio by birth, she has an amazing experience with various radio channels.
