M. K. Sundarraj is a popular Kannada actor, basically from Tamilnadu. He came to the limelight through the stage dramas. In his initial stages of acting, he was in B. V. Karanth’s troupe. Sundar was married to Pramila Joshi, who was also an actress in south Indian movies. This couple has a talented daughter called , who is also a famous film actress. She is popular in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada movies. Sundar was introduced by the veteran director, ‘K. Balachandar’ in ‘Thappu Thalangal’.

He has acted in 15 Tamil films. At present, Sundar is the ‘Secretary of the Kannada Film Artist Association’. Sundarraj was honored with the Doctorate from the Medicina Alternativa. It is associated with, ‘The Open University of Colombo’. This doctorate was given to him in, ‘Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia’.

He was one among the proud recipients of the honorary doctorate, awarded to the popular celebrities from the foreign University. Sundar, was honored with this decorate for his humanitarian services and also for the performance in the art field. Sundar’s popular Kannada movies are, ‘Immadi Pulikeshi, Kaadu, Raja Maharaja, Pallavi Anupallavi, Banker Margayya, Kaliyuga, Thrishula, Lorry Driver, Hosa Madam, Shakthi and Avane Nanna Ganda’.
