Usha Bhandary is an actress who majorly works in the Kannada cinema industry. She mostly works as a supporting actress in movies. She has two sisters and is a native of Mangalore. She attended school at St. Agnes High School in Mangalore. She pursued her degree from Mangalore University after which she worked at television media.

It was a small film made on a budget of a crore and received positive reviews and response from the audience. The plot revolves around the importance of a mother, is filled with comic scenes and also has a small love story interspersed in between.

Ondu Motteya Kathe is the story of how a Kannada lecturer deals with the suddenness of his marriage. He is an introvert by nature and sets out on a journey of discovering his inner self. Usha Bhandary is in the lead role with Raj B. Shetty. It is a comedy film and also won the Filmfare award in the best film in Kannada category in the year 2017. Usha’s work in her role received a lot of appreciation.

Apart from these, Usha Bhandary was a part of many diverse roles in various films and is a very skilled artist. He showcased her acting skills in Madana in the year 2006, Cyanide, also in 2006. In 2007 she starred in Sri Kshethra Kaivara Thathayya. In 2008 she made appearances in three movies, Minchina Ota, Darode, Beladingalagi Baa. She worked in Sri Moksha and Nam Areal Ondina, both of which released in 2010.

She acted in Madime in 2014 and Jathre in 2015. Usha Bhandary founded aAp he Acting and Performing Institute for film and television in 2013, and the institute undertakes batches and trains them for making a career in the field of acting. The institute also gives one-to-one classes to students as and when required.

The institute is in Bangalore, where Usha currently resides. She brings life into any character that she plays and brings out the true potential of the role on screen. Whatever the limitations of the character may be, whatever her screen time may be, she never fails to create a longlasting impression in front of the audience.
