G.K Govinda Rao

G.K Govinda Rao is a well known television actor who started his career as a Professor of English and writer. Prior to his foray into acting, he actively participated in social movements, attacked the divisive politics and is a staunch supporter of Congress.

He constantly courts controversy with his outspoken words criticizing noted writers, seers and politicians. He invited ire from the Kannada film directors and producers terming their movies as rubbish. 

The actor however has won the hearts of the Kannada television viewers with his critical roles in Malgudi days and Maha Parva. In MahaParva the actor enacted his role as the Chief Minister.
