Aparna

Aparna is an anchor and Kannada actress. She has anchored several programs in DD Chandana. Her father is a journalist. She made her debut in Kannada film industry in the movie ‘MasanadaHoovu’, directed by the legendry Kannada film director,PuttannaKanagal starring opposite Jayanthi and Ambarish. Aparna scripts her own programmes. Aparna has started writing a popular column in a Kannada daily. Most TV anchors and radio jockeys hold her in high regard for the gracefulness and ease with which she presents herself and her programs. She has seriously taken to acting on television.

She is busy with three TV serials that are currently on air. In spite of the fact that it is TV that has provided her enormous fame, Aparna is similarly skilled in emceeing a social program. Aparna is the one of the few commentators to have secured all the in-house projects of Doordarshan amid the primes of the channel. She made a record by presenting live announcements and conducting quiz programs for Doordarshan, for eight hours constantly, amid Diwali 1998.

Aparna has had the honor of being the first RJ when FM Rainbow went on air by most accounts, four years back. Aparna has been working with All India Radio as a broadcaster since 1993. As of now, Aparna is presenting ‘Ee Family’, a live telephone in programme on ETV Kannada station and cookery show ‘Sunday Saviruchi’.
