V. Harikrishna is an Indian movie background score and soundtrack author, playback vocalist and also a movie producer. He has primarily produced background score for many Kannada movies. After his job as a software engineer and associate music artist, he made his entrance as a free music director in the movie
Jothe Jotheyali, which starred the famous actor Darshan and was released in the year 2006. From that point onwards, he has been making music for many of Darshan's movies.
Harikrishna also owns a music company "D-Beats" which was established in the year 2013. And the first film to be produced by the company was the movie Bulbul, which was released in the year 2013. He has won three back to back Filmfare Awards for Best Music for his music production in the film Gaalipata which was released in the year 2008, the film Raaj The Showman in the year 2009, and also for the movie Jackie in the year 2010.
Harikrishna was born on 5 November in 1974 in Bangalore in Karnataka. When he was of eight years age, he started playing piano in a music company which his father purchased. The company was named after him and was established in the year 1982. He went on to play the piano professionally in the year 1987 and stopped his studies after he finished his studies in a Matriculation school.
In his first expert task, Harikrishna worked with the famous music composer Manoranjan Prabhakar. After his father had passed away in the year 1990, he took control over his father's mechanic and car repair shop. There he worked as a mechanic. After writer Sadhu Kokila's request, he started doing music again in the year 1994. He was married to a music director and a singer
Vani Harikrishna, who was the granddaughter of an old music director G. K. Venkatesh, in the year 1997. They have a child whose name is Aditya. Aditya debuted as a vocalist in one of the movies of Harikrishna. Harikrishna recently worked in the movie
Dana Kayonu, which was directed by
Yogaraj Bhat in the year 2016.
