Smitha Shenoy, a renowned Konkani poet, was born on November 9, 1977. She holds a Master's in Communication and Journalism and is pursuing a Ph.D. She is also an Associate Professor of Journalism. Smitha has always been a multifaceted person and has indulged in various activities. She has been the face of many radio programs on AIR Mangalore, delivering programs in English, Konkani and Kannada. In 2015, she was the sole anchor for a TV series of the religious cum spiritual genre, titled “Guruvandana”, which aired on Spandana channel.
Shenoy has completed over 100 literacy and stage events in Kannada, Konkani and English. Her Magnum Opus is her poetry, and her works have often been published in “

”, the literary digest from Bangalore, and on a Mangalore-based Konkani website. She also serves as a member of the Translation Project by the Karnataka Government. She has also served as a voiceover for several ads and documentaries and participated in numerous live programs for TV. Shenoy is a great mentor and also an advisor to students at college.
