It released last year on 26 August 2016 i.e. Friday. The movie has very heavenly scenes captured in a perfect way just because of this man. Its story revolves around kids and traditional games. As the title of the film suggests, the story has the plot about the game in mud football. The concept of this movie is very sober and naturalistic where there is a celebration of traditional recreation in adolescent period, a depiction of children's lifestyle, crushes, friends, etc. Naturalistic cinematography has given poetic impression to the movie. Proper use of camera and shots enlightens the essence of the village making it powerful.

The producer, director, and also the writer of this project is Jeyen Raj. He has been through tough times to create this film, and release it. Mud Maza is Jeyen Raj's first project as a director and producer; a movie which has come with a 'U' (unrestricted certificate) from the Central Board of Film Certification. Since a long time, Malayalam cinema was not able to experience a 'U' Certificate film due to its abiding rules and guidelines. It was not easy for Jeyen to get clear permission; Raj's film and he did go through severe circumstances and faced some censor controversies before the release.

Mud Maza and its concept overpowered all the problems and did well in the Malayalam industry. Mohan Sithara was the music director of the album. Shijas P. Yoonas has supported Anil well with his potential in editing the film. Anil succeeded in attracting the audience towards his excellent cinematography. He was one of the reasons of Mud Maza getting great love and achievements. Viewers could not take their eyes off of the authenticity of nature, and the simplicity of the characters; this happened all because of the masterpiece work of Anil. His work in his first film defeated all the odds with Central Board of Film Certification and its members. Later, they appreciated it. It was Narayen's debut project and we hope that there are more to come in his kitty.
