Shyam Dutt

Shyam Dutt is an Indian Cinematographer who has predominantly worked in Indian Film Industry. He hails from Punalur, Kerala and was born in a middle-class family. Shyam Dutt grew up in Punalur with his parents and two siblings, one sister and one brother. He completed his schooling at Govt. Boys School, Punalur. He was always more into sports and drama rather than his studies. Although, he used to score good marks. He used to be an athlete at his school and presented his school at various school level competitions and won many of them. He has also reached the national level at the inter-school sports meet. He also used to do acting while he was in his school. Shyam Dutt used to be the part of his school’s drama team. He has played various roles in the dramas held at his school. Apart from this, he also used to go to the local fares and watch Nukkad-Natak.

After completing his school, Shyam Dutt decided to pursue his further education in fine arts. He kept Cinematography as an additional course at his college. He was also the part of college’s drama club. He used to shot and edit the entire short film that drama team used to make. He was also offered various jobs from local directors after watching his profile. After completing his college, he started working as a cinematographer in Malayalam Film Industry. At first, he used to work in short films. After gaining some popularity, he was offered to work in a movie.
