Shafi hails from Kochi, Kerala. He is one of the famous film directors who has set a mark as one of the best directors in Malayalam. He is well-known for his comedy films in Malayalam. Story writer Rafi is his elder brother. Till now he had directed many films in Malayalam and one movie in Tamil named“Maja.” That flick was a remake of “Thommam Makkalum” starred by Mammootty. Later on, Shafi directed Mammootty in almost all 3-4 films. And this new project will be on sets by 2017 and the picture is about to release in the same year itself.
