Kalyani Nair is a singer originally from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She lives in Chennai and is a part of the Tamil Cinema Industry. She made her debut on television in an episode of The Symphony on Kairali T.V. She is an undergraduate Economics student at Ethiraj College for Women at Chennai (Tamil Nadu). Her father Colonel U.G Kumar, an Indian Army Officer, was very often transferred to many places across India. This worked as an advantage to her as she got the opportunity to train herself in Hindustani Music.
Her teacher Binny Krishna Kumar admired her for her beautiful and soulful voice and often said that she would reach great heights for her talents. She has sung various songs in the Tamil and Telugu music industry, her one of the most popular song being Dora Dora Anne Dora’ from the movie ‘Maasilamani.’ Apart from Tamil and Telugu industries, she has also recently sung a Bollywood song ‘Dhuaan Hai Dhuaan Zindagi’ for the film ‘
Saala Khadoos.’ She is married to V
